Trustmark is the only consumer protection organisation delivering the Government Endorsed Standards Scheme, providing consumers with confidence, choice, quality and protection when using a Registered Business to carry out work in and around the home.
The scope of TrustMark is expanding to include the Energy Efficiency, Retro-Fit and Repair, Maintenance and Improvement (RMI) sectors. With this evolution in progress, we are delighted to report that we have recently accepted the organisation RetrofitWorks as a new Scheme Operator at TrustMark.
RetrofitWorks is a co-operative of SMEs enabling homeowners the option of using trusted, local traders to carry out home improvements that boost their energy efficiency. The practitioners comprising this co-operative undergo vigorous vetting and have their jobs inspected to ensure consistent quality of all retrofitted products, from the very small to large-scale projects.
Russell Smith, Chief Executive of RetrofitWorks commented on joining TrustMark:
"RetrofitWorks exists to enhance the choice and quality available to customers at the same time as ensuring contractors of all sizes get the opportunity to provide energy-efficiency retrofit services in a competitive marketplace. Therefore we are very pleased to become TrustMark Scheme Operators and to give our members the benefits of being part of this scheme."
TrustMark Chief Executive, Simon Ayers welcomed the new additions to the TrustMark scheme:
“The continued success of TrustMark depends on the relationships we build and maintain with our Scheme Operators and associated Registered Firms. These organisations work tirelessly in their individual sectors to drive base levels of standards, continuously enhancing the quality of work and levels of protection their customers can rely upon. We look forward to working together to deliver these results and welcome RetrofitWorks to TrustMark.”
